another johnson 140 wiring question

so i put a set of controls in the boat to hook up to my 89 140 johnson and everything hooks up but now at the 2 pin plug in(black and white wire) i have a solid green wire with an eyelet coming from the controls where do i hook this up? Also at the power head beside the big red plugin i got a tan or brown wire i'm guessing this is if your running a temp sensor is this right?

so the only place i can see where the green wire would is in the power pack third terminal from the left according to the wiring diagram it's not to clear though
