I know this has been addressed before but have to ask, I'm touching up my skeg(sudden impact) and lower parts of the drive, I've sanded the skeg, there afew bare spots there and the drive. I have Moeller Zinc primer and decided on Rustoleum Gloss Black which is Enamel. Do I prime just the bare spots,or prime the bare and original paint that I've wet sanded..?? Should I use clear over the paint also?? Thanks..

You can prime it all, probably stick better to the primer anyway.

Thanks. It's only 2 years old so I'd like it to look fairly new..

Hello again..The Moeller primer can states "recoat with 1 hour or after 48 hours". Can I spray the black paint within 1 hour or have to wait 48??. And do I need to sand the primer coat before top coat?? Thanks again

It just means that you need to paint over the primer within an hour of priming - once it gets dry to the touch. If you cannot do it within the first hour, then you need to wait for a couple of days and then paint it.
