another motor swap 20" for 25"

Looking to upgrade in hp on a 24ft Harris pontoon. Found a nice 115hp motor with controls, but it is a 25" shaft motor. Original motor is a 20". Has anyone made this swap with positive results? If so, what is needed to make it work?

Would be nice to know where you are. My buddy has a 115 Yammie 20" and needs a 25" for his Tracker.
