I'm new to wakeboarding. Is this an OK starter board?

Hyperlite Factor Wakeboard Package with Orbit Bindings

I think it was 140cm.

I have found it locally on sale new for $112.

I am 180#'s, my wife is 100# and my son is 50#. I was thinking this should be good for me and get something a bit smaller for my wife and son to share?

It looks like this:

I ride a 143 and I am around 200lb. My brother's 140 feels like I am sinking, but he is only 140 lb max. The 140 should work well for you wife, and if you are just starting, you should be able to get by as well.

Hyperlite makes a good board, and you can't beat the price for a beginner ski with bindings. You'll get up on that.

yea, I agree you should be good with that board to learn on. My son is about 5'10" and 140 lbs, 15 years old. He is on a hyperlite 136. His buddy is a little taller and a few lbs. heavier and has no problem getting up on the same board.

keep in mind that board sizing is based purely on weight. a 136cm is an overall good board for the entire family except for ppl under 100lbs. can't go wrong with hyperlite, that's for sure
