Another of many questions tilt/trim ?

On my 60ish Pacific Mariner with either a 120 or 140 engine. The stern drive number is 2066652. As far as I and the guy before me the stern drive is the original. I replaced the solenoid on it,I tested it and it was dust. No when I click up on the rocker switch the solenoid switch just clicks. I'm thinking the the motor is locked up. But I could be wrong. I have double checked the wiring on the Soleniod and it is correct. I used a test wire jumpin the hot and same result. Is there a rebuild kit or is it better just to install a new unit. Napa wants 330 for theirs. Also where is the oem number on it.Thanks again for the help.

If you can get it from NAPA for $330, get it. The parts are NLA from Mercruiser. Or you might luck out and find one on ebay.<br />Regarding your SN of the engine, that number (2066652) comes up in the 67 to 69 era, along with the 120 engine.<br />Can you post some pictures of your engine, drive, and trim pump. That would sure help, especially in trying to troubleshoot things. Without knowing what it is for sure, it makes troubleshooting next to impossible.<br />If you don't know how to post pics, you could email them to me if you have a digital camera and can email reasonable sized .jpg files.

I will try to get pictures tomm. I'm sure the motor is gone. I found one on here for 220.00 including shipping.
