So i have an 1986 90hp cross flow that had a bad powerhead. It had Power trim and well. I have found a 1982 115hp without power trim. As far as i can tell these power heads are cross compatble. Is that correct?

Someone mentioned to me that it may be easier for me to swap the donor motor onto the power trim of my current motor to avoid some of the hassle swapping power heads. thoughts on that?

Powerhead is 6 bolts and 4 nuts plus cables. Put the '82 on your leg. Unless you break bolts, easy job.

The T/N/T from the 90 will bolt right into the 115 that is probably the easiest thing to do. Swapping the power heads isn't that hard but the tilt and trim swap is easier.
