Another power tilt question.

How can I troubleshoot the issue with the power tilt to determin what is causing the issue with the motor going back down on its own after I tilt it up. I have put fluid in it but from here I don't know what to do next to find out where the problem is. Any help would be great.

First of all, is it leaking fluid?? Possible it is the o ring behind the trim pistons and sleeves. Manual release valve tight? May also be a valve issue.

We have a 1985 60hp Johnson and it was working fine and then one day I noticed that it was not riding like it use to. I trimed the motor and as soon as I have it gas the motor went back down. I took it home and when we raise the motor and leave it alone it will slowly go down on its own. I don't know how to check to see where the issue is. I don't want to go out and buy a bunch of things we don't need if I can get help on troubleshooting the issue before I dump money on a bunch of thing when all it could be is an O-ring. If anybody can help us on what we can do to narrow done the issue it would be great. So far since we got it back from the shop it has been running great and I would like to get the trim working again.
