another pre-alpha question

is the gimble housing, gimble ring and bellhousing (that attaches to the gimble ring) the same on the prealpha drives?
from looking through the GLM catalog, they list the same part numbers for most of their respective components.

they look to be interchangable
my setup is a 73 merc888, with most of the components on the outside of the transom pretty corroded/pitted and paint peeling

I also have the complete setup from a 73 merc120, and all the components on the outside of the transom and clean and nice

so, i was thinking of using the gimble housing/ring and bell housing on my merc888 setup

your thoughts?

There were a few subtle differences over the run of 'em,....
The Only real way to know is to Compare 'em, Side by Side....
