Currently have a 25 foot Sanpan pontoon with a Yamaha 115 4 stroke. Current prop is a 13.5" diameter with a 15 pitch. Current WOT is 5,000 rpms at a speed of 27 MPH. WOT suggested range is 5,000 - 6,000 RPM's. I am at the bottom of the range and am considering dropping down in pitch on a new prop. Using the correct math I should be able to go down to a 11 pitch to get closer to the top of the range. My question is, what will this do to the speed? Would a 13 pitch be better? Any help much appreciated.
