I have a 16' 94 Sea Nymph with 1994 25 HP Evinrude. I just bought this boat and have not even had it in the water yet (I know who I bought it from and have it run with with the water muffs).

I am redoing a few things and noticed the prop has a some wear and a small tear/ding in one of the blades. No biggie. It has 10x13 stamped on the current prop which is original so I am assuming it's a 10" diameter with a 13 pitch? I found one on ebay, brand new, says it's for Evinrude Johnson OMC Cobra and it's from Systematched Parts. Will this work for me or is there more to consider? I have been trying learn about props but I not there yet. Does the spline count differ or are all Evinrudes the same?

Also does that prop sound like the right size? No RPMs or WOT to offer yet?

Re: another prop ?

Before making a decision on a prop you should get yours repaired and do a test run(s)with your typical load.Get the max rpm and speed. This is an oportunity to fine tune the prop selection. You also should optimize the motor setup raise the motor vertically until just before venting becomes a problem.(prop needs to be in good shape. You could gain a couple of miles per hour just by raising the motor.Carefully adjust the trim as well. These adjustments will improve the overall performance as well as the efficientcy.
