It is not unusual to lose some oil into the bilge during a normal engine oil change...don't assume that you have an oil leak.

If this were mine, I would monitor the oil level via the dipstick for a while...then decide if I was actually losing any from the engine.

Happy boating!

P.S. Don't start throwing 'snake oil' brews into the engine, until you know for certain that you have an actual leak!

Uhhh, how much water is in your bilge, and how much oil does it take to turn it brown???

You should have no oil in the bilge. Use some bilge cleaner to get rid of all the oil. Check the engine for leaks. Valve covers, timing covers, and oil pans are primary leak sources, as well as sloppy oil changes.

My magic 8-ball says ......... maybe.

Pay real close attention to the oil levels in your engine(s). If an engine is leaking oil it could lead to severe engine damage if your oil level drops too low.

If you locate a leak fix it properly.

Let us know what you find.
