Another question Standard or reverse rotation motor

I have another question. replacing the port side motor. And is there standard or reverse rotation?? Both motors look the same and the starters are both on the starboard side. They look the same excapt on has the power steeering. The outdrives also look the same, where as the props both have the same pitch.

When you have twin motors don't they rotate differently??

Not necessarily, depending on the age of the engines...
On newer models the reverse is done through the drive itself.....
If you post the year, make, model, & preferably the s/n you will get a much more informed response......JK

If the engine will still turn over, crank the engine with the start and see which way it turns. The pic below works on all GM gas engines, doesn't matter if they are Volvo, Mercruiser, OMC or XXX, it's the direction they turn.

Are you saying both props turn the same direction? They are NOT mirror images of each other? If you were standing behind the drives looking towards the bow do they both turn clockwise to propel the boat forward?

The boat is a 1983 Wellcraft suncruiser 2600 twin chevy 350's
I will try to check the rotation of the motors tomorrow.
