I have a Montgomery Wards Sea King 7.5hp

The tag says “Clinton Engines Corp.”
Model number is K750 3112E
Serial number 1140988
Type is XTV 52276

Can anybody direct me to a site that will have information about this motor? I thought I had found information some time ago that it was an early 80’s model, but I can’t seem to find it again or anything else that will tell me what year it is. Going by my spark plug book, it offers plugs for a 1976 model or a 1979 through 1983 model.

I am also looking to find a source that would have a repair manual and the requirements for fuel ratio and what type of oil to mix with it.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

KTV52275 is 1974, KTV52277 is 1975
Use chainsaw oil, I'd mix 32:1 (4oz/gal)
You might get lucky and find manuals on eBay.
Otherewise there isn't much information or parts available for Clintons
I'd suggest using fuel stabilizer all the time. They don't use-up gas very quickly and it can go stale between outings sometimes.

Willy pretty much covered it.My info says 48:1 fuel mix on the K750. 32:1 won't hurt and may offer a safety cushion on a orphan motor.Clinton has been out of business for some time.

Thanks for the help guys. Sounds like I don't want to invest too much time or money into this one.
