Finally got the SmartTabs and wow what a difference.

The boat planes out much faster with only about 6 inches of bow rise. Before I could hardly see where I was going while I was trying to plane.

Also, I am able to stay on plane down to about 5 mph. Hard to tell when it goes off plane cause the bow never really raises or falls.

I can't wait to see if it solves the planing problem I had in rough seas when fully loaded. Sometimes it would never plane out.

Thanks John for a great invention.

BTW, I ordered the blemished versions right here from I boats. They were minially scratched on the underside where it doesnt show. Saved me some cash.

Ken

I also forgot to add that the high speed tracking is mucho improved.

Before I had to fight the wheel to keep it going straight. Now I can take my hands off and it goes perfectly straight.

Ken

Man they've gotta help the saggy butt problem. They're in the perfect place doing the perfect thing.

Gotta laugh. You see this cabin cruiser out there struggling with the *** a draggin. Course it's dragging cause all 10 people on board are on the rear deck partying, the twin engines are right below them and the helmsman isn't shoving the throttles far enough forward to pull out of it.......and the wake off this thing!!!!!! Use it for surfboarding. Grin

Then you see one with tabs and it's like day and night.

I like to think of a water ski. Think about how a water ski acts when you drop the rope and coast into the bank. She stays flat and just glides to a stop because the (your) weight in pretty much in the center and the tabs are attempting to do the same thing. So having a real low planing speed is (seems to be) what you'd expect.

Mark

I bought mine trying to solve a porpoising problem...The hydrofoil didn't help much so it came off..Will have in the water tomorrow to test them out!
