OK I have read all the posts re VRO and I am still a bit confued.

1. I have a 3-wire VRO system that works great.

2. The 4 wire vro is an improvement in the sense that the 4'th wire makes the VRO more reliable because it takes power directly from the alternator? and the the other improvement is that there is a pulse limiter on the crank pressure in case of a backfire?

Are these the ONLY improvements from the 3-wire to 4-wire?

I purchased a 4 wire pump (cost me $250.00) and received 2 pulse limiters with the package deal... I was thinking of keeping my 3 wire system and one of the pulse limiters and re-selling the 4 wire pump if the only other benefit is more reliability on the side of the power supply to the warning system.

Thanks for any clarification

Serge

Re: another VRO question

Go read the FAQ section about how the VRO works. Install the one you bought, it is a lot better and more reliable than the earlier 3 wire pumps.
