Antenna Mount Replacement?

I am trying to replace the antenna mount on my boat (2005 19' Proline Center Console). It had a plastic mount on the side of the boat which cracked and broke (I've purchased a new stainless steel mount)
The antenna wire is run through the mount and into the boat hull, and then up to the top of the center console - where the radio is mounted.

My question is: The wire appears to be (somehow) wire-tied (or somehow attached inside) the hull....at least, the wire is not free. On the antenna side, the wire runs up inside the antenna (a Shakespeare - approximately 8 ft?).
Can the wire be re-threaded up inside the antenna (in can be pulled out, but seems rather tight), or does it have to be replaced from the radio side?
There does not appear to be any easy access to where the radio is mounted to where the antenna wire is threaded down through/into the hull. The hatch/compartment under/in the center console houses the wiring/fuses, but I can not see where the antenna wire in brought down through it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Thanks,

Rick
