about 10 years ago, an electrician handed be a small container of "Anti-Ox", an anti-oxidant contact compound for all metals.

At the time we were inserting new breakers on the house and we put the anti-ox on the contacts before installing the breakers.

anywho...considering the always occuring corrosion on my engines contacts (saltwater), i was wondering if this type of compound would be helpful say on coil connections and sparkplugs.

i dont think its really a 'conductive' and wonder if its properties would help more than hinder connections.

I always try to use something on all my connections to inhibit corrosion even if it's just a little smear of grease, I don't think you can go wrong using it.

It would be very helpful!

I use a product called PIC METAL MAX...it is sold at most hobby stores, and is used by hobbyists for RC electrical connections and to remove corrosion from bearings.

In the world of salt water, anything that helps is worthwhile!

Happy boating!

Ayuh,... You can still get that stuff from an Electrical Supply house,...
But,...
I just hook things up,+ slather a coating of plain ole Grease on everything....
It's more about keepin' the water off 'em than anything...
