Any advantage to 8mm or larger plug wires

Gathering up pieces for a complete OMC 5.8 Ford ignition tune-up
Plugs-NGK UR5GP
Sierra- Points&condenser cap&rotor
Wires- still deciding which ones

Ok 8mm wires, advantage other than thicker insulation?
Being I'm still with points ignition and factory coil anything other than the original 7mm plain old black wires would probably be a waste right? Opinions anyone.

The Stock Wires will do the job at hand Just Fine.............

8mm's might be the ticket if you were running an MSD multiple spark ignition system, otherwise as bondo said 7mm will be just fine.
