Any tips out there would be great. Im top is green so I dont want somthing hurting the color of it just to clean its. I feel like it gets my boat dirty putting it on. I was going to try simple green but wasnt sure if that was a good idea or bad. Let me know your tricks and sorry if I posted in the wrong place. ::cool:

sunbrella recomends washing there tops in woollite in a washer once a year or so. and letting them drip dry.

The end of season birds used the top of my Trojan 26 as a roost and poop zone.

I thought it was over for the 26 year old cockpit top. The poop was almost 1/2 inch in some palaces and stunk to high hatred.

I took the top off the frame and soaked it in one of those big red plastic shoe buckets you buy at home depot. I put about 1/2 of laundry detergent on the bottom of the container and filled it up with water.

I let it sit in the sun for about 3 days taking it out and hitting the stains with a brush a couple of times each day.

I took it out hosed it off and it looks like new.

My experience has been to use a canvas cleaner for t he dirt--woolite probably just as good--and the mildew is still there. Couple of hours in the sun and it is all gone.
