Any Bow-Fishermen out there?

wondering if any fellow bowfishermen are out here especially Michiganders , just got into it myself about a year ago , got some great spots in the Detriot river and lake Erie , but I go out more in the inland lakes, so having trouble finding Big Carp in inland lakes , any good lakes or help on what types of locations or lakes to look for ????? good luck fishing this summer

I don't bow fish any more, but I used to bow fish for small sharks in Morro Bay, California.

As far as the carp go in lakes with water you can't see far into, you can use their habit of surfacing to gulp air and to roll at the surface. I see that behavior a lot at my local lakes that have carp in them. They seem to gravitate to weed beds, and don't seem too disturbed at a nearby boat, as long as you're quiet.

Of course, during spawning season, they're up in the shallow water near shore, so they're pretty easy to see then.
