I have a group 24 Cabelas AGM battery. Seems to work just fine, but i've only had it for a few months.
But I would like to change the battery posts. Or bolt since it doesnt have a post.
I actually prefer using wing nuts......
I know some will say it creates a bad connection, but as long as you tighten it down really tight, it seems to hold just fine.......
I don't want the hassle of using pliers or socket to remove my battery. I thought of using some SS threaded rods in place and then a SS wing nut on top.
If I go that route, I'm not sure how to secure the rod in the battery so it doesnt come loose. Is it safe to use loctite in this situation? Or are there any other options I can check?
