Any experience with the Suzuki 6 hp ?

Pros or Cons? I plan on picking this up for a 20 ft. (18 ft centerline) fishing boat that weighs roughly 2400 loaded up.

Are you sure you mean 6hp ? Not 60hp?<br />My 6 Aux only pushes my 14ft F.Glass Boat at 5 knots.

This(6 hp) would be a trolling motor. The boat has a 140 Suzuki.

Ripsnort,<br /><br />A 6 hp is a little "light" for a boat that size. I would be looking at least a 9.9 hp.<br /><br />The 6 will probably move you in dead still water. Throw in a current or a wind and you may not be able to keep forward momentum.

Thks, that was my feeling too, however I got such a good deal on the 6, its gonna be hard to get a bargain on the 9.
