Any grease is better than no grease. Did I miss a zerk?

After putting about 15 pumps into my gimbal zerk just to be sure. Then i moved inside the boat and I Learned that I'm a contortionist. Greased both zerks on the engine coupler. Took 6 pumps each just to see grease. That's probably the hardest place I've ever had to wedge myself into to work on something. I also wanted to grease my steering (hydraulic) but didn't see any zerks. I assume since it's hydraulic I'm looking for something that doesn't exist.

My Alpha One power steering valve assy has a zerk. And you have to be carefull the steering wheel isn't hard-over in one direction when greasing that zerk.
I recommend checking the manual, to make sure you hit 'em all.

That is one reason for having the annual "pull the outdrive party" LOL. When you put grease into the coupler zerk, you are just greasing the splined input shaft, and you can do a much more efficient job applying grease by hand when you put it back together, plus you can check the splines for ware. Same with the gimbal bearing, after the second pump you were probably just pumping grease into the space between the bearing and the grease seal, or into the bellows. If you grease it with the outdrive off you can see it and turn the bearing as you fill it, much easier, and easy to clean up the excess. Good luck.
