So I picked up a cheap fishing boat last year around July after getting some paperwork issues taken care of I have now turn my focus to the motor and controls the motor appears to run find however im not sure if the manual tilt is working correct and the control box assembly is pretty lose and stiff thinking of replacing it(looks like a pain to do).So after doing some research I believe I found out the motor is a 1981 mercury 500 model I believe still a little unclear can anyone verify this info for me ????(Serial # 5533714
