I'm getting ready to winterize myself for the first time (Yamaha F150 4 stroke). My question is this, is there any need to use something like a silicone spray on any parts under the cowling?

Thanks

I usually spray wd-40 on the engine it helps to keep moisture away

you might want to use something a little thicker than silicone...there are a lot of corrosion inhibitors out there...we use Corrosion Block on every motor that goes thru our shop
