Any OMC 3.8 owners?

If anyone has a OMC 3.8 v-6 can you tell me what size prop your running? trying to get an idea what works. boat is a 1981 beachcraft 17ft just used for fishing loaded with no more than 2 people. currently has a 15X17 prop does about 35mph on speedo no gps to check if correct.

You don't need owner feedback it could help but finding an actual same setup is not likely.We can help if you get us the present max rpm and speed.
speed only isn't much help.rpm only isn't much help speed and rpm is the key.
My guess is a 21 pitch would be about right.Without your specs and the max recomended rpm. You shouldn't make any changes without a tach as well.
Its all a crapshoot for performance ,economy and the health of your engine
without your info.
