Any one recognize this gasket???

Anybody recognize this gasket? This is what showed up for my 5.7 GL exhaust manifold gasket today. The number matches but they packaged the wrong gasket in the sleave.

That looks to be the head cover gasket on a inline 6 power tower merc outboard.

Nope, double checked the number. Sierra 18-2902 is exhuast manifold gasket for my engine. Check link below

That looks to be the head cover gasket on a inline 6 power tower merc outboard.

after reading the above I checked the inline 6 outboard parts and look what I found...

Now that this puzzle is solved, I have to find a exhaust manifold gasket tomorrow or getting the boat back together is going to be delayed till my buddy is off next week as he planned on doing it tomorrow. Or I will have to give her a shot using my dislocated shoulder along with my 14 year old boy's help

I cannot see any reason why an automotive exhaust manifold gasket cannot be used???? Unless of course not one made to fit. Anyone have any info on using a 5.7 automobile manifold gasket on the boat?

It's never a bad idea to introduce a 14 year-old boy to the working end of a torque wrench. Give him a chance...he might surprise you.
