First off thanks are in order. It's great to be able to come here and ask questions and get answers from such friendly and informative people. Thanks everyone for all the great help that you always give me!

OK. Here's the question. Mother has been collecting stamps since she was a little kid. She has piles of old stamps, some from the early 1900s. She wants to find out if any are rare, what they are worth, etc. Problem is she don't know anyone who is in to this sort of thing. Anyone have a link to any sites that can give us ideas? Or is there some kind of book or guide that I should own to give us a better idea of what we have? Thanks in advance for all the help!

Try ebay, that is how you can find the real value.

Ken

Start checking pawn shops. There are a lot of them that are into coins and stamps but don't advertise.

Check for books on value of stamps or stamp collecting. Amazon.com might have a book.

I'm not into stamp collecting, but I just got 2 envelopes from my grandmothers estate. They are the pre-stamped envelopes from the post office and they have the brown buffalo (22 cents). They've never been used and have no markings on them - new condition. I wonder what they are worth?

Jeff
