As stated in another thread I had to rewire my motor. I got it started on the muffs and it ran great, but when I put it in the water today it was loading up and bogging down while spiling gas out of the carbs.
I was told it could be bad gas, a bad head gasket, or out of tune carbs. I got a compression checker and I am going to put fresh gas in it. If the compression tests good and the gas don't fix it what else should i look for????

Hey David

Gas spilling from crabs is usually a sticky float and/or clogged jet. Prolly the float but just clean/rebuild the carbs and you should be good. You gonna have to open the carbs up to get at the float anyway so while your there clean everything and make sure everything it good.Don't just go in there and fix float/needle and not clean jets and such.

Let me know how it works out,

I got it all ripped apart and the bowl gasket on the top carb was leaking. So im thinking im just not getting enough to the first and second cylinder. I am just glad i did not scorch the cylinders.
