Any thoughts on a 97 Maxum 1900 SR

I have a chance to purchase a 97 Maxum 1900 SR does anybody out there have any experience with this boat or Maxum boats in general? It has a 4.3L i/o merc alpha one. I am just looking to mess around with this thing tubing, wakeboarding, etc. Thanks.

My neighbour a few doors away has one and loves it. I dont know if it is running 100% as when we see him out on the lake we fly past him. He pulls skiers and tubes and wakeboards no problem though but likes to take a spin on ours now and again.
