Any tricks to keep mud daubers from nesting under bimini cover?

It's been about 2 months since I put the Bimini top up. When I took the cover off the Bimini top there were about a dozen mud dauber nests attached to the Bimini top.
A lot of the stuff fell onto the seats and carpet as I removed the cover.
I keep my boat on a lift in SW Florida.
I figure this must happen to a lot of boat owners.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep this from happening again?
Thanks for any information.

Im in Colorado.. Our mud daubers suck here also.. I grew up on a farm so if you have a harbour freight get you a fake owl.. One that moves in the wind.. Also we would use duluted amonia or white vinigar and spray it on.. check your vinal first

Exclusion is the only way I know. Have to block any access.
