Anti cavitation plate or hydrofoil for an Evinrude 300hp.<br /> I don't want to get into likes and dislikes, pros, cons, etc. <br />Just want to know if anybody has run more than one brand and if they have a preference of one brand over another?

Thanks all. I've got a Stingray on another motor, but, was thinking of trying something else. The weed guard attaches to a trolling motor and goes in the troller forum. It is only incidental to fishing. The troller forum is for repair and non-repair topics.<br /><br />A hydrofoil attaches to any outboard and has nothing to do with repair so it goes in the outboard non-repair forum.

I use the Attwood Hydro-stabilizer (in Iboats mall). It is hard to see in the pic, but the fins angle upward, as opposed to the flat layout of the other fins. This has two positive affects. The first is once on plane, the fins are more out of the water and provide little drag compared to other foils. The other is when in a turn, there isn't the wierd handling that some foils cause. I have been very happy with this foil compared to the other big name foils that I have experienced.

The Stingray xp is supposed to be the best one that i have researched on the web..<br />I just took mine off and went with Smart Tabs..<br />The Stingray worked great on my old boat but not on my new boat...Just have to try a foil to know..

I love the SE Sport 300, Used 2 of them in the past and they work great. I was able to stick in the turns alot better and come right out of the water on the Hole shot. My engine also needs all the help it can get, as it is a Force 125hp, but with this and the motor running right she pushes my Bayliner 19.5footer 45mph. This is the best fin I have found, I had tested a Stingray in the past, but it didn't work good on my boat so I took it off, and got the Se Sport and loved it since.<br /><br />Hope this helps.<br /><br />Bryan
