My boat is a 01 Bayliner 2452 with a 5.7- B2. Prop is 18 1/4"x 17". Wondering if one of those trolling plates would slow me down with the big prop. I didn't want to spend money on a kicker right now. Thanks

They claim to work, I haven't used one on any of my boats. I used a 5 gallon bucket with some smaller holes drilled in the bottom, tied off the side. Not exactly "professional" but it works, and if one doesn't slow you down, two might. Depends what kind of boat and set up ya have. Remember your prop!! and don't tangle, or use long leads on your bucket.
