Anybody use Fiberglassite Epoxy?

I haven't done much fiberglass work before and have a 79 Sea Ray SRV200 which I started on about 3 years ago. I've decided to get back to working on it. I am looking at either US Composites, West System or Fiberglassite's epoxy to put the stringers, transom and deck in with. Which product is the easiest to work with or are they all about the same?

Thanks

West System kicks butt, though it is prohibitively expensive. Cures to an amber/clear color. US Composites hardener is like molasses in January, but otherwise works as well as West System. Cures to a snot green color. Dunno about the other.

I used both West and US Composites. I like both about the same, but I like paying 1/3 as much for US Composites the best.

I used the fiberglasssite epoxy for the hard top project. No problems, and they post the specs on strength, shear breakeage, etc. They claim to be the strongest epoxy around and 100% solids. When I compared the cured specs to other brands that listed specs, they were better. Cures clear/opaque.

BTW, I think fiberglasssite ships out of Maryland. If you are in Texas, shipping may push up the cost to where its cheaper buying from a retailer closer to you.

Thanks for the quick replies danond and Mark 42. Will check into the shipping Mark 42......sometimes I'd rather pay the shipping that have to drive in Houston traffic to get supplies.

LMAO! I have to agree! I grew up between Houston and Dallas (aint divorce great?)

I'd rather walk than drive in Houston, and I am a Fat Old Man!

I hear ya Falcon, shipping is cheap compared to the stress from Houston traffic as well as my time and gas. Thanks to UPS and FedEX delivering right to my front door, I'm pretty certain has added years to my life!
