Anyone buy a new 2010/2011 PT 175txw??

Have you put it in the water yet?

I don't have a 175 but I bought a 2010 PT 170 and added a stereo and Humminbird 727 fish finder, the Lowrance that comes on them sucks.

I agree. The 2 most common upgrades would be a fishfinder and going from a 12volt troling motor to a 24 MinnKota.

Just bought mine last weekend. Sure as anything, now it's cold and rainy.
I do want to get a good cover for it, and am unsure on the way to go. Have one made, of buy the Tracker one. I will be putting on my older Minnkota on at some point and am not sure how the Tracker one will fit. Want to put a radio in it, and am not sure what to get. I'd like to find one with a remote screen type where the tuner and stuff are somewhere else.
I went with the 75 HP Optimax as well. Three of us in the boat and we were doing 43MPH. I don't think the guy had it on plane yet either. Can't wait for the weather to warm up again.

You got a 75 HP on a PT 175, thats awesome, I thought they would only put a 60 on it. I bought an Atwood cover from Wal Mart and it was terrible, water went straight through it and it mildewed in in 6 months. I ordered one on ebay from this company named boatarama and it is great, much thicker and better. I didn't know to look for a boat cover that said 600 denier.

Just got my 175txw last Saturday and want to install a radio and speakers into the side walls. Is it somewhat easy to do it yourself or should I have it done by the pros?

I get it next week. Thething I like about it is that I won't have to cut a big hole for the receiver. Speakers I'll deal with when I get the radio.

The 75 HP Optimax was a $1200 addition, and it was already on the boat from the factory or the dealer. I think they ordered it that way. I am glad they did.

My 2011 did not come with the upgrades. Where these optionals???
