completly and utterly addicted to working on their boat? i spent 3 hours working on the motor today, and im want to go back and do more. its going to be like this untill i can get her on the water...

I haven't had the chance to make the repairs I need to make before the season starts. I got to leave her covered over til the threat of snow is gone. She won't fit in the garage, so I have to wait for a few more weeks yet.. Then yes, I will be addicted to the work until it is sitting at the dock waiting to be enjoyed for the summer season.

I started mine yesterday with a new trailer winch strap. Plus i moved it in front of the garage.

Working on my boats is like having to go to a job....it's a necessary evil to support my habits.
I prefer being on the water instead of the driveway.

Guilty as charged. Snow has been on the ground here since Nov 15 and there's no end in sight. Extreme cold for the past week.

I couldn't take it anymore and spent a few hours Sunday in the boat under the tarp working on small projects and taking measurements etc for next springs renovations. Temps were -12C (10F). Must have looked funny to the neighbors watching me climb in and out through the snow with my heavy boots, parka and gloves.

I can't wait for the warm weather.

yep im guilty too.

if anything goes wrong with mine i work on it til i find it......a lot of times i work on it where ever it acts up.

if i have the spare parts to fix it........i fix it.

if i dont have the parts i wait for them to arrive.....chewing on my fingernails .

OMG! Tomorrow it begins! Although the temps here just won't go above freezing at night.. I hate mother nature.. she hates me. No more fruitcakes for her on christmas!

My boat is done and ready for summer. I worked on it and cleaned on it for a few weeks after I had it winterized. I can't wait to try out my new sound system, 3 amps, 2 subs, and all new highs. I'll be heard, before I am seen.

Bring on the warm weather!

i feel sorry for you guys without a garage to store your boats in. luckily i have a rich uncle with a summer cabin close by

its in an uninsulated garage, but i just throw my torpedo heater in there, there was ice still in the water pump but i just put it in front of the heater for a few seconds and it melted right off.
