Anyone ever open this area up on a 95-98 Sundancer 250?

Anyone ever open up this area as shown in the black outline on the attached pic? Not sure what is behind there but if it's hollow it would make some great additional storage. Just put a door in there & done. Anyone ever tear into this area? Full of foam?

Not sure about the 95-98 years, but the piece just in front of it seams to me should just lift out.

Since that is the forward bearth, why is that piece not level with the rest of the bearth?

On my buddy's 97, he has an A/C vent mounted there. I'm pretty sure it's the return vent so I'm guessing the A/C is in behind it.

On my buddy's 97, he has an A/C vent mounted there. I'm pretty sure it's the return vent so I'm guessing the A/C is in behind it.

Or at least it's an open "hollow" area to hold A/C duct work, if the boat is equipped. I will guess that on your boat, Alwhite00, it's empty.

Look like the table stows there to me. It would make it "flat" for when the cushion is placed on top of the stowed table.

Yes, Exactly - Table top stores there - I am just curious what is under there, I will have to look for some hidden fasteners or something.
