Anyone familiar with Predator Bass Boats?

I'm thinking about taking on a project boat, it is a 16ft Predator bass boat with a 1990 90hp Mariner with 200hrs freshwater run time. Owner wants $1800 for boat, motor, and trailer. Anyone know anything about these boats, flaws , durability, etc. Fair price? Think I should take it on?<br /><br />All opinions appreciated!

Guess it depends on how much work it needs, how much work are you willing to do, how much money are you willing to spend verses buying another boat that doesn't need as much work. It all just depends....

<br /><br />I'm looking to fish a few local bass tournaments to see if I can hang, starting to feel restricted by fishing as a non-boater all the time. My college student budget won't allow me to buy anything much newer. I plan on refinishing, new carpet, and I already have a spare 1990 90hp for parts. My current rig is a 1976 Hydra-sport with the 1978 90hp Tower of Power. Brains a thinkin?
