anyone fish near Pt.Defiance in puget sound

looking for some info for a channel near Pt.Defiance in South PugetSound,its a great imitaion of the stuff that happens in the columbia river with currnent and rips..<br /><br />I know right off the clay banks and over near Dalco,there is some mighty good spots to fish...but its nasty water to deal with,<br />anyway I have read up on all,seen all vids,wached other boaters dink in that current,even had 2 of my buddys drive my boat and to my amazement,we ziped right thru the soup with no problem,I am not 100% comfortable in this area when tide is happining.<br /><br />of course dont go there when the tide is running but hey,I am seeking pointers to deal with current.<br />(yea do a boating safty course,I have heard this many times..book & vid only covered a limited aspect )<br /><br />I seek more info on this area if anyone is familiar with this area.<br /><br />thanks

I fished there as a young child, and remember that it was treacherous and my step dad always took over the helm... Other than that, I just wanted to say HI from a fellow Puget Sound fisher...

well just did a class thru my local power squadron and wow what great info,I am still weary of that current but alas,that class did help,wife allso did the class so she can drive the boat back after she throws me overboard.<br />I still am weary of that channel but more time on the water I am learning the quirks of my boat,tiller steering is getting old,working on steering system.
