I am trying to take the advice of several members on the board here and find parts in a boat salvage yard. I just moved to the area and have no clue where any boat salvage yards are. Does anyone live in this area or know of boat salvage yards?

Thanks as always

Hi Guys:
As you can see from the address I am just North of the 49th parallel from where you are. Sadly, I don't know of any boat disposal yards but my advice is to visit all the marinas and marine mechanics in your area and tell them specifically what you're looking for and leave your contact info. It really does work. Over the past several years I've done the same thing and I now get calls from almost all the contacts I've made for the parts I want. Then it's just a simple matter of haggling!

Kilowatts, thanks, being new to boating I may not know things that seem perfectly common sense to you more seasoned boaters. I will start asking around, great suggestion!

The only used boat part store i know of is in bellingham wa. I know where it is at, but i cannot remember the name. For the most part i rely on ebay and such for used parts.

I was born and raised in that neck of the woods. Snohomish. About 4 years ago I got sick of traffic and headed to NE Washington state with the wife and kids. Never looked back :)

My brother lives over there in Sequim.

A month or two back I made a heck of a journey over to Vancouver, WA to buy a project boat. I am hoping to go the same route as you and thinking I will surplus as much of it as I can.

Do you have any specific parts in mind, or just in general?

BrandonHa,

I am looking for some railing, a stove, refrigerator (multi fuel), hopefully some cabinets and various small items.

Hi Paul... Olympia Wa here..
Have you tried Craigslist? I just bought some railing from a guy in Bremerton, and I know he had quite a bit left..

Theres also a guy who has a boat "junkyard" down south and west of portland. He posts alot in the portland craigslist.. I have bought several things from him in the past, seems like he has just about everything..

When I cant find the thing I need, I usually post my own ad on the seattle craigslist, and 9 times out of ten some body will reply with the thing I need..

Good luck searching, thats almost as much fun as boating!!

There had been one near the Shilshol Bay Marina, but I haven't been there for a couple of years.

We had one here in Monroe until just a few months ago, they had a huge 70% of the lowest marked price going out of business sale.
