Anyone from Wisconsin????

Newbie here

Just wondering if there are any other place in the north that have nice sandbas to hang out at? We have been at Shawano lake almost every weekend and have been to Lake Noquebay once (didn't like it as much as Shawano).

I heard Green Bay has a pretty nice spot also. Just don't know where.

Also, if you have any other suggestions, that would be great!

There's 3-4 cheeseheads around here.

I'm a bit south of you and spend most of my weekends on the Lake Winnebago system. A lot of sandbars, restaurants and other destinations.

Check out the BoatingWinnebago.com link in my signature. There is a boating hotspots map that might give you some ideas.

Peninsula State park in Door County is great, The water was wonderful this summer.
There were about 100 boats anchored or rafted up both times I was there.

You can launch in the park, or in Fish Creek a mile to the south, or you can launch at numerous other locations.

Sand Lake near Webster WI is nice, but not like Winnebago or Shawano, or Door County.

Sure, I am from WI, but in the SE. Hunt up near Lakewood , nicolet forest area....

Lotsa good lakes down here, especially in the Kettle moraine area...Just pull the boat around, find one and drop in!

p.p.s., Shawno area is a great place to boat!

no personal experience with it. (my boat isn't reliable enough yet ) but hwy 94 exit on hwy P just south of Oconomowoc there is upper and lower Nemahbin lake. there are usually folks rafted up in the upper portion. looks like a nice lake to be out on. I have had my canoe out there and had some good fishing and good times.

NW WI where musky is king and records are broken! Lake Superior is only 45mins north. Plenty of places to hang out...........
