Anyone have pictures of a old merc engine?

I have a old 150 hp merc, the tower of power. it's a 68 I believe. Was wondering if anyone had a picture of how the distrubitor went on. Trying to get that hooked back up.

Earlier, you mentioned your motor was a 1974 Mercury 1500. Your distributer assembly might be similar to mine, as shown in the pic below.<br /><br />

Line up the belt to that the little nib on the bottom part of the pulley is lined up with the little nib on the crankcase just as #1 approaches top dead center.<br /><br />-W
