Decals and striping were typically applied vinyl. You can SOMETIMES find people selling them online (generally eBay), but that's not necessary. If you like the color and original lines on the boat, check with a local sign shop. They can usually produce whatever you need to re-create the old lines (or make new ones). They might be able to redesign the original brand mark for you too, if you really want it on there.

Might post a couple shots of the whole boat to help people answer questions about it too.

I've got a 1973 Ouachita catalog. There were 7 Convincer models that year -- 3 at around 14 feet and 4 at 16 feet (centerline). The UT was new for '73, an open-bow version of the "U" model. The U and UT have a 68-inch transom versus a 60-inch transom on the other 16-footers. Colors were:L "virgin white", "cambridge green", "mellow yellow". "fire red" and "nomad brown".

12. Please do not post to threads that have been inactive for more than 3 months UN-LESS you are the original poster. We have very active forums and any thread that remains inactive for that long should be considered "dead". It is especially confusing when there is an entirely new question posted to an old thread. This is considered a hijack. Please start a new thread of your own.
