Anyone know a good replacement for a Cowling Seal?

I have a 1969 Evinrude 9.5 Sportwin. The Cowling seal is badly dry rotted. The part number is 0206097. It looks like the part is obsolete. Is there an alternative, like weather stripping? Thanks in advance!

Fuel line. Get some fuel line and slice it with a razor blade down the middle and it fits pretty good. MANY people have used it.

I glued a split rubber line (black) on my merc 3.9

worked great (fuel line is more expensive by the foot)

glued it down with black GOOP and put the cowl on while it hardened up nicely (wipe any exposed goop off the paint while soft)

I re-did my 1974 70hp 3 years ago and used a roll of vinyl door trim from the auto parts store. Sold in various styles. This one had a self adhesive material already inside the channel. Just cut and press. I have no regrets. UV resistant and straight as an arrow.
