Hi I have some posts up already but this one is to find out how the boat is made ie is it foam filled ? What is greenwood ? What's the gas tank size ? There are some spots on the boat where the wood is exposed and looks wet but man o man I can't believe how hard it still is I can't get a pick even to go into the wood. My boat is a key largo 160cc and is a 1999. I try end emailing key largo 3 times and the last time I was not nice. I can't see why they won't help a customer that may buy a new boat in the future.:noidea:

Can't help much, but here is what I can contribute.
Greenwood XL Boat Panel is the product . It comes with a lifetime transferrable warranty, offered by Greenwood Forest products, not by the boat manufacturer. If there is a failure of the Greenwood product in the first 10 years of ownership, Greenwood will pay the cost to replace the damaged material, and all ancilliary costs associated with the repair. It is tough wood, that
rarely rots, but it IS wood.
Your fuel tank is likely just 15 gallons.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but it sounds like a condition issue in a 15 year old open boat of medium grade. Makes sense that the manufacturer isn't going to get into that can of worms

Re: Anyone know how my boat is made

There is no problem with the boat I just wanted some info on some stuff is all. And it looks like when some one changed the engine to a 70 the hole with the wires did not line up with the steering cable so they drilled a bunch of holes to make a big hole and never covered or sealed it up. So I can see the the wood and it's like a composite plastic feel but hard as a rock. And in the anchor well in the front under the deck it looks like the fiberglass has delaminated from the wood and the wood looks wet but still it's hard as a rock.
