Is there anyway to tell when this prop was made?

DE Quicksilver 48 13246 450 23P

My Scarab rolled out of the factory with a 23-pitch Mirage (which I don't have). The previous owner replaced it with a 25-pitch Mirage and used the Scarab mostly alone or with his wife. I now own the Scarab and the 25-pitch prop.

But... I run with my whole gang: Wife and four kids... or sometimes with 2-3 buddies. We also like water sports and the areas we run (Cape May County, NJ) don't let me push for the last 2-3 MPH, nor do I want to.

Short story: The 23-pitch prop is what I would be better suited with. Based on use last fall, and I seem to be missing a couple hundred RPM. Further , my surveyor recommended a modern, 23-pitch, SS prop with more current and modern rake/cupping after his two-hour long sea trial before my purchase.

I spoke with him recently, and he explained that there is nothing wrong with the mid-90's props, but if I could score a more current design, that'd be be best.

On side note, Michigan props took all my data and sea trial results and recommended a 24-pitch Ballistic prop. He is aware of that, and said that is possible, too. He recommended a 23 because most merc/bravo props come in steps of 2 (19,21,23,25,etc). Not many offerings that run 21,22,23,24,25,etc). Michigan does offer pitch increases like this.

Of course, they ain't cheap!

So, there is some info.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
