I bought this boat but i am not sure what brand it is. Can anyone tell me?

Sorry, I do not know what kind of boat that is. But I can say that I would almost bet my boat that that motor hanging on there is NOT a Mercury. It looks like a Force motor that has been painted and had some vinyl lettering applied to it.

Does it have a Hull ID number? You can usually look it up and it will give you atleast the manufacturer.

looks more like a bad photoshop job to me, but I agree it is likely a Force motor.

Yes you are correct guys,it is a Force. Dont know why the previous owner made it that way. No input on the topic? I havent been able to find any numbers,brand etc. on the boat. My guess is that this is an american boat and i figured that someone in here might recognize the boat

I am from Norway by the way. Difficult to find any info domestic..

As you might see in the ad for the boat you see that the previous owner claim that this is a Fountain. I sent an email to Fountain and they denied that this is their make...

Nice looking boat though. I find it kind of funny that my buddy and I were just talking about a nato exercise that I was on in 86 and the places I visited (tromso, narvic, bardufoss and setermoen ETC)

There was a Firebird marine from Australia once. Could be?
The only thing about that boat that looks like anything I've seen is the windshield. Looks like it came off of a Sylvan fish and ski.

The world is small I come from Bod? in the northern Norway. Our fiercest rivals on the football field is Troms?,our "neighbour" big brother.Here in Bod? we have the military main air station, maybe you have visited us?

Thanks David. If i could find a number of any kind i am sure that would have helped me but i cant find any. And i dont think it is home built,doesnt look that way.Jeff,youre right. Cant get the boat above 27 knots. Havent tested the boat with more than 2 persons onboard but i guess she will struggle when i do She is also heavy as hell!

look on the right rear of the boat just under the rub rail........ most are stamped into the fiberglass hull..... just a little from the side

your boat should also have a plate that has the max hp and weight capacity.......... if you can get the hin #s you can find all that info suing nada.com. i have also found boat info on here but its hit and miss since im not very computer savvy.

i have an old fiberglass boat that only had a metal tag screwed to the transom........ it probably used to have rivits but the boat has been repaired with a plate over the transom......... even after i took off the metal plate there still were not numbers stamped into the hull.

Searched the entire boat. No tags or plates with inscription.. Thanks for input guys Hopefully someone will recognize the boat and give me a wink. Will check the Searay possibility
