That's right- CLIFFE Craft, not Chris Craft. I'd never heard of that brand either... they were made in Canada, apparently for only a few years back in the early 60's.
Back story:
I bought some used dock lines from a local guy today and stumbled on this boat. The guy is moving to the other side of the country and wants to sell it before he goes. He restored it himself and told me it would cost more to move it than it's worth.
Anyway, I took a quick look and believe me, this thing is georgous! If I were in the market for that kind of boat I'd snap it right up.
Here's his CL ad. He says they're moving in 4 weeks and it has to go by then.

"1964 Cliffe Craft - restored wooden boat - $2200 (West Chester)
Yes, "Cliffe Craft" IS correct. These extremely rare lapstrake-constructed wood boats were built in Gananoque, Canada in the mid-1960's. This one is their smallest model at 14.5 feet. Powered by a 45 HP Chrysler outboard, she's been wonderfully restored by her current owner (that would be me...) as a labor of love over the past few years. Often mistaken for a Lyman or Thompson, she's a real head-turner with all her mahogany and its ten coats of Captain's varnish. Original hardware is in good shape, as is the original upholstery. Windshield tilts out with hardware similar to what was used by Chris Craft and others. Unusual side-facing rear seats and two mahogany-doored storage lockers complete this unique design.
Priced fairly for what she is, come on out to West Chester and take a look at a 46 year old piece of nostalgia. "
Hmmm... maybe I could hide it behind the shed so the Admiral wouldn't see it..
No joke guys, this boat is a gem. The trailer needs a little attention but the package seems to be well worth his $2200 price. He's about 40 miles west of Philly. GO FLYERS!
