Anyone made a 20"(Long) into a 25"(Xlong)

I have 2000 200HP EFI with a 20" shaft, and need it to be a 25" leg/midsection. I have seen 5" adapters for the 25 to 30 (xl to xxl). Can this be done for the 20"?? Also can the exhaust tube from the 20" work on the 25" (or exh tubes only sized by HP not length).<br /><br />The lower foot only needs a driveshaft.<br /> <br />The Midsection needs a XL water tube and shift shaft.?.?.? right?<br /><br />The swivel bracket should be the same on all...

Here is a company that sells extensions.<br />Baymfg<br /><br />I called and they seem to know what they are doing. It is going to cost me $520 if I buy from them. I would like to find a dealer who will discount the retail price but so far no luck. <br />I do remember the person recommended replacing the drive shaft instead of just adding an extension with 200hp and up.
