I ordered something from them earlier this week and can't reach them to get a status on my order. The look of the website and their phone site leads me to believe that they are a small business and are just too busy to reply back to me or possibly on vacation or something. Just wondering if anyone knew anything about them. Prices were good but the primary reason I ordered from there was the claim they do same day shipping if ordered prior to 3pm eastern.

I've never ordered from them but they have a phone number to call. Have you tried that?

Yeah. It is an automated system with terrible jazz music lol. But no one answers any of the extensions and it goes to a voicemail. I tried calling and emailing both yesterday and today with no luck. Another reason it kind of makes me think it is a Yahoo business based store run out of somebody's garage.

Never heard of them

Did you give iboats, our generous forum sponsor, a shot at price matching whatever you bought? Mention you're a forum member and you get an extra 5% off.

Cheapest place isnt always the best place. Hope they give a call back or the part shows up....

I did look here first. I definitely try to use iboats whenever possible though. iboats was just about $75 higher for the part I ordered which was a CDI Electronics stator. This place definitely had it the cheapest price but it was still only a few dollars less than many other reputable parts sites. I figured I would give them a try really just because of the same day shipping they offered and from past experiences of other parts sites having very slow processing times.

Edit: I didn't realize iboats did price matching, so no, I did not do that....just looked at their listed price. I will keep that in mind in the future.

Dont forget, iboats offers price matching on lots of parts.

I've been lucky so far w most online purchases, for boat parts and others stuff.

Hope they get back soon or the part shows up.

Thanks pckeen.

After no response from the site through calls or emails, I did my own digging. The best I could gather is that this was a legitimate business at some point but appears to no longer be up and running. I used to google street to view the return address listed which is just a suburban outside of Boston. The site also features a picture of a couple in front of a business van saying Guenon's Mobile Marine. Searched that company and found the same William Guenon as the owner as is listed on the site you linked. I found a lot of other stuff too but long story short, it appears the Guenon's had a likely legitimate mobile marine mechanic service and a parts business on the side and they went out of business. Both sites are hosted by Yahoo Stores and I guess they never closed it out with them and allows orders to still be placed. Initially the charge showed up on my bank account but was then removed. I'm not sure if that was Yahoo doing that or what. I cancelled my card just to be safe even though I should have used Paypal. I'm not sure why I didn't as I typically do.

Anyways, everyone just steer clear of that site if you run across it in the future.
